THANK YOU TO LEON COUNTY, JUDGE RYDER, AND BOB HICKMAN.
We have cases of water available at City Hall for City of Normangee residents. We will be here until 3:00 PM today if anyone would like to pick some up. There is a limit of one (1) case of 24-bottles per household at this time. You will need to provide your physical address when you arrive so we can fairly distribute the cases. If there is still water left available, pickup will resume at 8:00 AM tomorrow. As soon as we receive the test results on the water samples tomorrow, we will issue additional notices as soon as possible.

As a precaution, the boil water FOR CONSUMPTION notice will remain in effect at least until Tuesday. This will allow time for samples to be sent for testing and for the City to receive the results. As soon as the results are received, we will proceed and issue notices accordingly.

March 11, 2024, 9:20AM – Water Outage Notice:  Water is off to repair damage to a main water line. If the office receives any updates regarding a restoration time, they will be posted to the City of Normangee Facebook page. The Public Works Department is actively working to restore service as quickly as possible.

The water repair completed earlier this evening has failed. The Public Works Director is already on site to assess the situation and begin repairs. Beginning the morning of Monday, May 4, 2020 the lobby for Normangee City Hall will reopen for face-to-face transactions.  Until further notice, social distancing must still be observed and only two (2) people will be able to occupy the lobby at one time. Please continue to practice social distancing and safe hygiene practices.  If you have any questions about Governor Abbott’s plan for reopening Texas, you may contact City Hall for help finding the appropriate resources.

6/07/2019 NOTICE FOR NORMANGEE RESIDENTS: Beginning next week on either Tuesday or Wednesday (6/11 OR 6/12), construction will begin on a sewer line replacement project on Wooley Street, between Spur 3 and 5th Street. This project is expected to last approximately 7-10 days. During this time, portions of Wooley Street will be completely closed for the construction and traffic will be redirected. Residents between Spur 3 and Wooley – Please start now planning for alternative access to your homes, as any driveways off of Wooley may be inaccessible at times during this project. Please contact City Hall if you have any questions. Thank you!
